Solva and surrounding headlands

Along the coastal path a couple of miles north of Solva is the site of the wrecks of the Vernicos Alexia, Vernicos Georgios and Vernicos Barbara IV, The Alexia was towing the Georgios and Barbara when it suffered engine problems. It's anchors failed to hold and all three tugs were swept ashore and wrecked. An engine block and a few scraps is all that remains although more can be seen at low tide.
