Wisemans Bridge Rock Formations

Pembrokshire's coast is world famous in geological circles for it's rock formations. The "folding" look was caused during the Variscan orogeny at the end of the Carboniferous period when the continents of Laurasia and Gondwana collided to form Pangea. At the time (c. 360Ma) Wales lay at the equator.
