The Blue Lagoon and the ocean in Abereiddy (Abereiddi)

"The Blue Lagoon" is a disused slate quarry in North Pembrokeshire. Abandoned in 1901, it flooded in the 1930s and - despite the name - usually has a green colour owing to the mineral content in the quarry. At 25m deep, the quarry now gets used for diving and coasteering.

We were lucky enough to come across this family of seals playing whilst walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path between Abereiddy and Porthgain. Took this with the Sony A7r and Zeiss 35mm f2.8 lens. The colours are straight out of camera with landscape mode in Lightroom.
